2003 Outland

My wife and I purchased a used travel trailer from American RV this past summer. We have been extremely pleased with everything about your dealership from our salesman, Jim Snyder, to the friendly and competent service department. I don’t think that we would have asked for better treatment.

This is our fourth RV. We have purchased new and used units from two of the other large dealerships in the Grand Rapids area. Honestly, their business attitude is very unprofessional compared to American. After having had mostly unpleasant experiences with the other dealers, we were somewhat skeptical coming to your company. It didn’t take long for us to realize that you staff really wants our business. It certainly shows from the minute we walk through the front door.

We just picked up our trailer from your service department today, and it’s very obvious that the professionalism didn’t end when we signed the sales agreement. You have earned lifelong customers! We can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Roadtrek Customers

Dear Robert:

Enclosed are several photos that we took while on our long road trip out to Portland for our daughter’s wedding. We drove to Portland, OR, then on to the Pacific coast at Newport, Oregon, then back to Michigan. Along the way, we visited Glacier National Park, the Custer Battlefield, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands National Park. We took our puppy, Remy, with us, and he was a real Roadtrek Traveler!

The Roadtrek performed magnificently, and we had a really great time. We learned that it’s much easier to carry in the water tank, rather then hooking a hose up every time. We remarked every time we passed a Class A or Class C motorhome we we were probably stopping a lot less frequently at the gas stations than they were!

Bill’s brother, Robert, and his wife are so impressed with our Roadtrek that they are planning to rent one this August from you at American RV, and the four of us are going camping for a week in the Upper Peninsula.

Comments from an Online Buyer

Dear Potential Cyberspace Buyers,

When I sent a generic email inquiry re:trailers to RV dealers in Denver, I was surprised to get a response from Western Michigan!

Apparently one of the dealers I emailed had ties to American RV, and the request was forwarded there to Chad Neff. Though I was skeptical that this would work, buying a trailer sight unseen so far away, with probable excessive freight costs from Michigan to Wyoming, he still provided information on several possible four-season trailers and was quick to answer questions. When one looked promising, I cut to the chase and said I wanted his very lowest price before we pursued this cybershopping any further, feeling guilty that I was probably wasting his time, and mine. Amazingly the package deal price including freight was better than I was finding in Cheyenne and Denver. At this point I asked for his utmost honesty and detailed photos. His response was “It would be my pleasure.” He sent multiple pictures, provided good fast information, and recommended I talk to his Hitchhiker representative re: some additional questions he thought best answered in that manner.

After much back and forth, I was surprised to find myself leaning his way. Based on the trustworthiness I felt for this individual, Chad Neff, I made the purchase. Indeed, the trailer was as described, delivered in good shape, and for a good price. I think you can feel confidence in buying from this individual and dealership, even sight unseen. I can now say that for me too, “It was a pleasure.”

Dear Ron,

As you know we recently purchased a 2007 Montana 342PHT Mountaineer from American RV. We felt compelled to write you and say that it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you and your staff, all of which I feel are the most ethical & highly trained professionals in the RV industry.

Being from Massachusetts we set out to purchase locally but were very displeased with our local dealers, you can imagine that a purchase of this size “site unseen” we were a little skeptical to say the least. Those thoughts were quickly diminished upon the negotiation process. Your professional demeanor from the beginning of the delivery was right on target with our expectations.

We as customers rarely give a letter of rec commendation to any organization as we feel it is their duty to make it a “Win Win” scenario for both parties, very few accomplish this successfully, however you and your team did.
