Winners of the Great American RV Summer Vacation Photo Contest were announced today. Customers were asked to submit photos that best represent the family-friendly RV lifestyle with their RV, purchased from American RV, in the picture.

American RV would like to thank all of our customers that submitted photos for the contest. It was great getting to see some of the ways you have fun using your RV’s.

And the winners are:
The 1st place $100 Camping World gift card prize was awarded to the Tim DeWitt family from Hudsonville, MI. The photo, taken during August at their Ludington State Park, Ludington, MI, campsite, shows Tim grilling steaks as son Kellan and daughter Abrianna look on while reclining next to their Sprinter travel trailer. The 2nd place $75 Camping World gift card prize was awarded to Dave and Julie Christiansen from Charlevoix, MI. Their winning photo shows them at Wilderness State Park in Mackinaw, MI, in June, enjoying their Roadtrek motor home and a couple of libations. Click Here to see the 2nd place photo.

The 3rd place $50 Camping World gift card prize was awarded to the Michael Despres family from Rockford, MI. Their winning photo is a collage of photos taken on their summer trip with their Terra motor home to Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest and the St. Louis Arch. Grab the camera and pack-up the family and your RV.  It’s time for The Great American RV Summer Vacation Photo Contest!  Amateur photographers, you have the chance to snap your way to a grand prize  of a $100 Camping World gift card, 2^nd prize is a $75 Camping World gift card and 3^rd prize is a $50 Camping World gift card.

Entries are due by 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010. The judges will look for something that best represents the family-friendly RV lifestyle with your RV in the picture. Send your photos, along with a brief description of what is happening in the photo and where it was taken, and you could win! Your photos also could be included in a collection of American RV customers’ top photos that will be displayed at the dealership as well as placed in a photo gallery online.

How to enter

Send a copy of your favorite photo by 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010. It must be a previously unpublished photo taken during summer 2010 and includes your RV purchased from American RV.  Be sure to include the photographer’s name and phone number. Also, include the first and last names of people in the picture. Include your name, phone number and address and a brief description of where this photo was taken. Include any details that make this photo special.Please send no more than two photos per entrant.

Online: E-mail your photo to: webmaster@AmericanRV.com. If you are selected as a finalist, you will be contacted via e-mail.

The American RV Sales department and the Camping World store will be OPEN on Memorial Day from 9 am until 5 pm. The service department will be closed on Memorial Day. All areas will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, June 1.

It feels like spring has arrived with this past week’s weather being sunny and temps in the 60′s. That means camping season is right around the corner and we are excited for 2010! American RV Sales, Service and Parts departments will be closed on Monday September 7 in observance of Labor Day. All of our departments will be open for normal business hours on Tuesday.
