We need your help to collect gifts for 50,000 children in West Michigan so they will have a happier holiday season. American RV has partnered with The Salvation Army and Wood TV 8 to help collect toys for this years Angel Tree toy drive.

Those wishing to purchase a gift and participate in the program, may take one or more of the tags to purchase a gift appropriate for the child listed on the tag.

Return the unwrapped gift(s) to any one of the Angel Tree locations in West Michigan by Monday December 21, 2009.

American RV will be working with WOOD TV8, Spartan Stores , and local businesses around West Michigan to help struggling families make ends meet during these challenging economic times. “Your Money. Your Neighbor. Christmas in May.” is a new program designed to supply West Michigan families with everyday items that aren’t always available at food pantries and can’t be purchased with food stamps.

Starting today and until May 20, 2009 we will be collecting the following 8 items:

* toilet paper
* toothbrush and toothpaste
* deodorant
* shampoo and conditioner
* bar soap
* dish soap
* laundry detergent
* diapers

The goal is to collect 25 tons of dry goods. All of the donations collected will stay within the community they were collected in and be distributed to area food pantries.

Wood TV 8 reports that thousands of kids and teens received gifts and toys this Christmas. They are sure that all of the items donated will bring smiles to faces this holiday season.

If you have a donation, take it directly to the Salvation Army, not to an Angel Tree location. The gifts and toys are being distributed by volunteers working with the Salvation Army.
